Biringer Farm Field Trip

On Wednesday, Isaac and I accompanied Tatum and her preschool class on a field trip to the pumpkin farm. Here are a few pics from our fun morning.

Sweet Baby Smiles

Look at how big our newborn has gotten!! I swear Isaac has almost doubled in size and he's only 7 weeks old. I've already put away his 0-3 month clothes...boo hoo! Anyway, I was finally able to capture his adorable smile on camera a couple days ago...I thought I would share with you.

My Babies

Yes, these days are hectic, beyond exhausting, sometimes stressful and very very noisy, but I wouldn't trade it for anything. I am so blessed to be the Mom of 3 wonderful kids. Life is good!

Say Cheese!

I had to post these pictures for a couple of reasons. First, as of lately, this is the expression I get from Owen when I ask him to smile for the camera. A gigantic smile with his eyes tightly squeezed shut. Clearly, he's becoming quite animated like his older sister.

The reason he's posing by the washing machine is because he loves to help me toss the clothes into the washer/dryer and push the buttons whenever he gets the chance. When I was taking these pictures, he would stand a short distance from the dryer and with all his might throw the clothes in. Here's an action shot of him launching one of Daddy's socks into the dryer.

Back to School!

We did it! We survived the first day of preschool and Little Gym with no major catastrophes and even managed to make it there on time. OK, so I can't take all the credit because I had a lot of help this morning. Scott was able to help get the kids ready before heading off to work and Auntie Rachel was waiting for us in the parking lot when we arrived at the school. Let me just say that loading up the car with 3 kids ages 4 and under by 7:45 am is no easy feat, so I was very thankful for the extra hands.

Tatum and Owen were very excited for the start of their classes this morning. As you can see from the pictures, they both were giving me some crazy picture poses.

Tatum is essentially in a pre-K class this year. She'll attend school on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 8:30 to 11:00. Owen is attending a Little Gym class on Wednesdays and he had his first session today as well. Seeing Owen in his class today showed that me that I indeed have a very high energy almost 2 1/2 year old. It was clear he loved the class, but definitely was not happy about having to leave. Owen cried practically the entire way home...hopefully leaving class will become a little easier as the semester continues!

Even though there is some stress involved with having to be out the door so early, I'm very happy to be back to a routine and more rigid schedule. The kids have literally been bouncing off the walls at home, especially since I'm not able to get out with them nearly as much as I did prior to Isaac. I'm excited about our new schedule and think it is a good thing for everyone!

Owen's First Salon Haircut

Until now, Owen has always received buzz cuts from either me or Grandma. However, I have really started to like his hair since it has grown out a little and I didn't want to take the clippers to it again...especially with Auntie Ray-Ray's wedding right around the corner. The ring bearer has got to look good! Anyway, here are a few pics of our little guy getting his first salon haircut in a Blue Angels jet!

By the way, thanks to my friend Abbey for the recommendation on the kid's salon, we'll definitely be returning!

Isaac's First Bath

Traditionally, baby's first bath has always been a family affair. Isaac's first bath in the baby tub proved to be no different. Both Tatum and Owen were more than happy to help out, in fact, they insisted on it. They took turns scrubbing his head and soaping him up and did a fairly good job. Owen, after a bit wanted to join Isaac in his tub, but after a little distracting we were able to talk him out of it. Through all of this, Isaac was a good sport and I think may have even enjoyed himself a little.

Long Beach '09

What a difference a year makes! We recently returned to the Lighthouse Resort for our second annual family vacation to Long Beach. Isaac experienced his first vacation at just 9 days old! We probably wouldn't have chosen to go on vacation with a newborn, but this trip was planned before we knew we were pregnant and this year we invited my side of the family to join us. We didn't want to miss out on the fun and knew we had several extra sets of hands to help us out. Even though I spent a lot of my time in the condo caring for Isaac, I was glad we made the trek.

Lovin' on Isaac

There's certainly no doubt Isaac has been receiving plenty of loves from his big sister and brother!

Welcome Baby Isaac!

At 40 weeks and 4 days we welcomed Isaac into the world with the help of an elective induction. With just over 5 hours of labor, he was born July 29th at 12:49 am, weighing 8 pounds, 3 ounces and was 20.5 inches long. Less than 24 hours after his birth we were able to come home and have been truly enjoying getting accustomed to our new family of 5!

Both Tatum and Owen have handled the addition of their baby brother very well. When talking to his bro, Owen uses an adorable high pitched voice and usually refers to him as "cute baby" or "cute Isaac". Owen's interest in Isaac is brief, while Tatum is constantly wanting to hold/burp/carry/soothe her brother. I'm sure his "newness" will wear off, but in the meantime I'm trying to allow her to do as much as she would like to.

We are all doing really well, but the exhaustion is definitely starting to kick in. Scott has been doing a great job of keeping up with Tatum and Owen during the day so I can focus on Isaac and occasionally sneak in a nap. My only priority right now are my kiddos and I'm cherishing this precious time with our newborn...it goes by so darn fast!

All dressed up and ready to go home.
